What does the melin logo represent? plus

The logo is the capital letter "M", built on a strong foundation and connected by three pillars which represent "materials, details and innovation."

What does melin mean? plus

Melin is a spin on the word milliner, which is a term for a custom hat maker that originally dates back to the 16th century in Milan, Italy.

How do I clean my melin craft? plus

We recommend spot cleaning with a damp white cloth and soap. Dab from the edges of the stain working from the outside toward the center to keep the stained area from getting larger.

How do I clean my melin thermal? plus

Our thermal styles are crafted with a stain repellent material, so most minor stains and markings can be removed with basic spot cleaning. Do not machine wash.

How do I clean my melin hydro? plus

We recommend spot cleaning with a damp white cloth and soap. Dab from the edges of the stain working from the outside toward the center to keep the stained area from getting larger.

How to clean your melin Hydro

When will a product be restocked? plus

If you sign up for an email notification on the product page you will be the first to know when the product is restocked.

What's the sizing on your hats? plus

Our "Small" styles are 56cm in circumference, "Classic" styles are 58cm, and "XL" styles are 60cm when the snap is flush on all pegs.

For Depth:

  • Flat Bill - Horizon fit styles (such as Trenches Hydro) are our deepest fitting option. Passage Hydro was designed to be a shallower fitting flat visor option.
  • Curved Bill - Our vintage fit styles (like the A-Game Hydro) is a classic 6-panel cap with a slightly lower profile crown. Our split curved fit (such as the Odyssey Hydro) is a bit more of a progressive fit with a slightly taller crown.

HOW-TO

To redeem the offer, the referral email must be opened and clicked through.

  • Once you enter your information, a unique Promo Code will be generated to enter upon checkout.
  • Enter the displayed Promo Code in the Promo Code box at checkout, before the item is purchased.
  • Be sure to check out under the same email address that received the referral email.

By using melin’s Refer-a-Friend-Program, you are subject to the additional Refer-a-Friend Program terms and conditions set forth below:

  • Qualified Referral:Β A qualified referral (β€œQualified Referral”) is defined as a purchase made at melin’s Site by a Referred Customer who arrives to melin’s Site by clicking your Refer-a-Friend Program link. You are limited to one Qualified Referral for each Referred Customer; in other words, additional/repeat purchases made by a Referred Customer are not counted as additional Qualified Referrals.
  • Referred Customer:Β The Referred Customer and the Referrer cannot be the same person (for example, by using a different email address).
  • Referral Rewards:Β A referral reward (β€œReferral Reward”) is defined as $20 store credit on melin’s Site per Qualified Referral and does not include any cash-back offer. For you to earn a Referral Reward as a Referrer, the Referred Customer must complete an order greater than $50 in total value, minus all fees including taxes, discounts, shipping, returns, chargebacks, fraudulent payments, and/or other third-party fees. The maximum Qualified Referrals earned per calendar year may be no more than 50 Qualified Referrals. As a Referrer, you are responsible for any and all tax liability resulting from such Referral Rewards.
  • Eligibility:Β Eligibility is limited to individuals only. melin’s Refer-a-Friend Program cannot be used by businesses for affiliate-lead generation as determined in melin’s sole discretion.
  • No Spam:Β You must comply with all up-to-date β€œSPAM” laws. For example, emails must be created and distributed in a personal manner. Any distribution of your referral link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or "spam" under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds for immediate termination of your use of our Refer-a-Friend Program.
  • Right to Terminate Use:Β melin reserves the right to terminate the use of any Referrer and/or Referred Customer and to request proper payment if the Referrer and/or Referred Customer attempts to use melin’s Refer-a-Friend Program in a questionable manner, breaches any of these Refer-a-Friend Program terms and conditions, or is in violation of any law.
  • Right to Cancel or Change:Β melin reserves the right to cancel the Refer-a-Friend Program or to change these Refer-a-Friend Program terms and conditions at any time in melin’s sole discretion. Any unclaimed rewards will be forfeited at that time.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return or exchange policy? plus

Rest easy, we offer free exchanges for new sizes / colors and free returns for store credit. Additionally, customers can exchange for new products of lesser or greater value.

All other returns for refund will be charged a $5 USD or $7 CAD restocking fee on the returned product.

Please place your exchange or refund within 30 days from the date your order is placed at melin.com. Items must be in new, unused condition with the original packaging and tags. In order to qualify for refunds back to original payment method, items must be in new/excellent condition.

We offer four options for returns and exchanges.

  1. Exchange for another color and/or size
  2. Exchange for a new style
  3. Return for store credit
  4. Return for a refund back to the original payment method.

We will begin processing your new order or email your store credit as soon as the Return Bar processes your exchange.

Shipping charges are not refundable. All sales are final for orders shipping to Australia. We do not offer returns or exchanges.

When will I receive my refund, exchange, or eGift Card? plus

For the fastest processing, as soon as the Returns Bar processes your return or exchange:

  1. You will receive your refund
  2. We will begin processing your new order
  3. You will receive your eGift Card refund

If you ship your return back to us, as soon as it is received:

  1. You will receive your refund
  2. We will begin processing your new order
  3. You will receive you eGift Card Refund

You will receive a confirmation email when processing is complete.

How do I return or exchange my order? plus

We offer two options for returning your items to us:

  1. You can choose to drop your exchange off at aΒ Happy Returns Return Bar locationΒ for the quickest option.
  2. Alternatively, we will provide you with a free shipping label to print, and you can pack and ship your return or exchange back to us.

You will need your order number to begin processing your return or exchange. You can find your order number on:

  1. Your account page
  2. Your shipping label listed after "PO" under your address
  3. Your order or shipping confirmation email

Can I return or exchange a gift? plus

We offer gift returns in the form of eGift Cards to use towards the purchase of any item on our website.

We do not provide direct gift exchanges. You will need to return your gift for an eGift Card and use it to purchase another item.

You will need two numbers to begin a gift return:

  1. Order Number, which is listed on your shipping label after "PO" under your address.
  2. Zip Code of the shipping address.

Free Shipping on All Orders*

Free Economy shipping is available on all U.S. orders of $55 or more. Orders that contain only the 3-Hat Travel Case do not qualify for free shipping. Gift cards and stickers are excluded. After your payment is verified, most orders ship within one business day from our warehouse in Southern California.

Free Shipping on All Canadian Order $150+

We offer free ground shipping on all Canadian orders $150+. After your payment is verified, most orders ship within one to two Β business days from our warehouse in Surrey, BC, Canada

All of our orders are shipped from our Distribution Center in Fontana, CA

Which days do you deliver packages on? plus

Most of our orders are delivered by FedEx, and they deliver packages Mondayβˆ’Saturday. Delivery is between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Reference the estimated delivery date in checkout.

Note: Shipments are only picked up Mondayβˆ’Friday.

When will my order ship? plus

We provide an estimated delivery date for your order during the shipping selection in the checkout process. After your payment is verified, most orders ship within one business day from our warehouse. This estimated date is not guaranteed.

  • Economy: 5-7 business days
  • Economy Plus: 4-6 business days
  • Priority: 3 business days
  • Expedited: 2 business days
  • Express: 1Β business day

When your order ships, you will receive a confirmation with the tracking information, letting you know it’s on the way. Upgrading your shipping method only expedites the transit time once your package has left our warehouse in Fontana, CA (Surrey, BC, Canada for Canadian Orders).

We ship all of our orders with FedEx and cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. If you enter a P.O. Box at checkout your order will be held until we can verify a physical shipping address for you.
