Giving Tuesday - Why We Give Back:
At melin, we’ve always believed that performance isn’t just about what you do in the gym, on the water, or in the mountains… it’s about how you show up for your community when it matters most. This Giving Tuesday, we’re honored to support the Maui Sports Foundation and their continued efforts to bring youth sports back to the Lahaina and West Maui community.
In the wake of unimaginable loss and rebuilding, sports have become more than just a game for these kids - they’re a source of normalcy, connection, and hope. Fields, courts, pools, parks, and the ocean are where friendships are rebuilt, confidence is restored, and the next generation learns what it means to persevere.
That’s why we give back: because we believe every kid deserves a place to play, to grow, and to feel like they belong.

Why We Love Them:
The Maui Sports Foundation is deeply rooted in the local community. They’re not just funding programs - they’re showing up for athletes, coaches, and families where they are, helping to rebuild the infrastructure of youth sports across Lahaina and West Maui.
Here’s why we’re proud to stand behind them this Giving Tuesday:
-
Community-first mindset: They focus on what local families need most, listening to coaches, organizers, and leaders on the ground.
-
Access for all kids: Their work ensures that young athletes have the chance to return to the sports and activities they love, regardless of circumstance.
-
Rebuilding through sport: From surf leagues to wrestling mats and skateparks, they’re helping restore the spaces where kids can feel strong, supported, and inspired again.
-
Support for those who serve: By helping create events that honor first responders and military, they continue to uplift the people who protect and care for the community.

For us, that alignment is everything. We’re inspired by how they use sport as a vehicle for healing, resilience, and unity in Maui. Clubs, teams, organizations & events the Maui Sports Foundation has impacted include:
-
Maui Interscholastic Surf League: Supporting student surfers who call Maui’s waves home.
-
Lahaina Aquatic Center: Helping bring life back to a key hub for swimmers and water sports.
