Mark Healey’s connection to the outdoors runs deep. A well-known waterman, he grew up on the North Shore surfing the biggest waves and pulling his own food from the ocean. Spending his days in the water brought peace and tranquility to him, it was second nature, and sourcing his food helped provide for his family. When red meat called, he took that same mindset into the forests of Hawai’i. Bow hunting forced a new approach with the same skillsets - patience, awareness, and silence. The goal stayed the same though, strengthen a connection to the land, honor where you came from, and provide for your family.
