Episode 2 of the Golf With Flavor Show, hosted by Justin Eldridge and presented by melin, takes a sharp turn down South to Augusta, Georgia—where the game of golf meets deep culture, late-night meals, and legendary company.
It’s Masters Week, but we’re not just watching from the sidelines. GWF Host, Justin Eldridge, tees it up with former professional ball player, Archie Bradley, at
Forrest Hills Golf Club. The crew then headed to the James Brown estate for the “#GodfathersGreen” event, hosted by Primary Wave & The Mulvi Group—a tribute to the Godfather of Soul himself. The vibes were loud, the stories louder and to top it all off… a BBQ session hosted by legendary baseball player and celebrity grillmaster Ken Griffey Jr. Yep, that Ken Griffey Jr. Cooking ribs. Talking life. Serving heat beyond the plate.
Just when you thought all the action was over… the boys hit the Malbon Estate with Co-Founder Steven Malbon and the Malbon crew. From there, Justin made a stop at one of the city’s hidden gems—Midtown Tavern. He sat down with restaurant owner Maguire Welsh to chop it up about how the spot came to life, the community it’s built around, and of course… the food. Midtown isn’t just a place to grab a bite—it’s got heart. Maguire shared how the restaurant is rooted in family, including one dish that really stole the show: their take on the legendary pimento cheese, made from his grandma’s original recipe. Safe to say, Justin was all in after the first bite. Then to wrap it all up at 3AM, a few local restaurant legends opened their doors—and their hearts—to serve a local favorite snack that stole the show.
This episode is about more than golf. It’s about people. Stories. Late nights. And flavor that sticks with you.
